Laser welding under vacuum
The FOCUS LaVa is our new product line. LaVa is the acronym for laser welding under vacuum and combines the well known advantages of the laser with the vacuum. Due to the reduces pressure of around 1 mbar the keyhole during deep penetration welding is stabilized with the effect that the penetration depth can increase by twice with same laser power. Another benefit is the significant reduction of spatters near to zero.

The picture shows a FOCUS LAVA with 1 kW Fiber laser and cooling in 19" Reck and an optic without z axis shift. The two monitors are used to display the camera video and the cnc-interface.

Maximum Flexibility

In order to serve our customer with the best suitable solution for their process or product, the machine concept is based on a unit assembly system. That means you can choose between different laser sources and optics from our supplier.
In addition we offer a customized solution where it is possible to integrate the actual laser. In some cases even the optic can be used.

CNC System

For high-precision processing an exact workpiece manipulation is necessary. To comply to this, we developed a CNC system with position accuracy less than 30 µm and a movement speed of 100 mm/s. Another big advantage is that the stepper motor for each axis is outside of the chamber.
If your workpieces requires axial or radial welding you can use the included internal rotary manipulator which is fully integrated into the CNC control unit.


A customized clamping of your parts is very important. We offer standard devices like three-bracket chucks in different sizes or as always customized solutions that fits to your task.
The measurement of the temperature is possible with thermocouple bushing.
